Literature Text
A girl lies in her bed in a cold little town
In an isolated state with its frozen crown
She looks up at her ceiling and prays to God
"Dear lord," she says. "I don't mean to prod,
But I want just one thing. It's a simple request.
Return to me the girl who makes me my best."
This other girl was funny, fierce and caring
Without her the great loss was unbarring
"I know you have your reasons my lord
But more pain is something I can't afford.
Why do people watch us with those eyes
They say 'I hate you' and then she cries.
Why have you denied me my little bit of heaven?
Am I really that bad or is this test number seven?
Even so for once I have faith in you
I know that someday you'll see me though
But please tell me now what to do
Because I'm lost and afraid I might rue
The day we met, the day we hugged and we kissed,
The days when nothing else mattered are all well missed.
Please, what I should to do when I need you and now
I won't stop asking even If you won't tell me how."
So the girl who loves a girl starts to sleep
And dream of this girl who is also asleep
They dream of each other, their bond was never cut
For God truly loves all of his children no matter what.

Lesbian
She treads carefully down the hall
Trying hard to ignore them all
Glares of hatred, harsh tongues full of words of disgust
Cutting people down in their world is a must
She doesn't interact, only races to her locker
Avoiding them who judge her for loving another
To them it's sick, disgusting, wrong
To her their love is like a song
Unending, beautiful, and necessary
Hoping one day they can marry
But she is still condemned for her love
Of a girl who is surely from Heaven above
You heard correctly friends, oh yes it is true
She loves a girl, with blonde hair and eyes so blue
The only thing that keeps her going each day
Is being ab

Just Dreams
In the future I want to love and be loved. I want to marry and grow old with her. I don't want to fear my heart being decimated. I want someone to let me hold them all night and forgive me if I snore or talk in my sleep. I want to be more comfortable with her than I am in my own skin. I want to trade stories about all our scars and memorize every freckle. I want to be accepted for all my mood swings, negative qualities, and weird quirks. I want to lay in her lap and look up at her while she strokes my hair. I want to learn about her culture. I want to hold her hand in public and not care if other people are looking. I want to try hard to be a

She is the type of lesbian, who's on too-many prescriptions,

She is the type of lesbian, who wants to play Glinda in a production of Wicked,
and stocks up on boxes of "Pot of Gold" chocolate for when it's out of season...(It's never out of season.)

I worked really hard to get this poem to ryme. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. As always comments are appreciated unless if they're offensive. I know I mixed two of the big ones in here so please don't turn my comment box into a religious argument about homosexuality. Thanks. :3
