Literature Text
We sit out on the sidelines in gym
Because we can't run fast enough
We love our friends with all our hearts
But they still leave us one way or another
Because we weren't good enough
We focus on our school work
But fall just short of all A's
We must not have worked hard enough
We put our feelings into art and poetry
But can't even win one contest
Because no one liked it enough
We're called the losers, however
We're the ones that shape the world
And that knowledge is enough
Because we can't run fast enough
We love our friends with all our hearts
But they still leave us one way or another
Because we weren't good enough
We focus on our school work
But fall just short of all A's
We must not have worked hard enough
We put our feelings into art and poetry
But can't even win one contest
Because no one liked it enough
We're called the losers, however
We're the ones that shape the world
And that knowledge is enough

She is the type of lesbian, who kick-starts her strap-on vibrator,
and rolls her own tampons.
She is the type of lesbian, who's on too-many prescriptions,
and dyes her own hair. All of it.
She is the type of lesbian, who buys her underwear at Walmart,
and can't stand the taste of coffee.
She is the type of lesbian, who wears a pair of boxers under her skirt,
and drives around in a tricked-out Japanese sports car.
She is the type of lesbian, who wants to play Glinda in a production of Wicked,
and stocks up on boxes of "Pot of Gold" chocolate for when it's out of season...(It's never out of season.)

Lesbian love...
I look into your glittering eyes,
and I see the reflection of everything I am.
I think about you often,
and I wonder what you think about.
I wonder what you like & don't.
Each time I see you again, I can't breathe.
You make me speechless and I want to stay in your eyes forever.
When I cannot speak words,
you simply give me a perfect, brilliant smile,
and yet again,
I am breathless.
From the first moment I saw you,
I knew that there was something different about you.
Your beauty shocks me,
I fall down in surprise.
I can't believe you're in my life.
Something so delicate,
yet so far away.
Something so beautiful,
but hidden

Gay Marriage
I want to marry a woman like her,
Tall with baby blue eyes.
Her hair, looks like waves of yellow thread.
All I want is to know her name.
I'd love to see her with a wedding ring,
A beautiful long flowing gown and a little white veil.
I wonder if, I'll be that lucky...
To someday have the right to walk her down an aisle.
I don't care where, I just need to know...
Will that right continue to not exist?
How come my daughter isn't allowed two mothers?
I plan for the future, I could still marry a man...
But, is he my true soulmate?
Were we destined to be together?
I just hope someday, who ever I marry is legally allowed.

Another poem I wrote on the bus. I was probably upset about my many failures and used that as inspiration. lol
